29 September 2025. Module 8 of the UK Covid Inquiry opened before Baroness Hallett at Dorland House. Children and young people living with Long Covid were present and represented by Long Covid Kids and Long Covid Kids Scotland.

We were honoured to be chosen as Charity of the Year by Silkstead Sunflowers, who dedicated their Sunflower Festival 2025 to supporting children and young people living with Long Covid. Thanks to the generosity of festival-goers, we’re thrilled to announce Silkstead Sunflowers raised an incredible £1451.68 for Long Covid Kids. hese funds will directly support our mission; helping us provide peer support, reduce stigma, raise awareness, and continue our advocacy.

When I heard about Long Covid STARS, I thought how brilliant of an idea it was, since expressing myself through writing has been so cathartic for me personally. The aim of the project was to utilise arts-based methods to explore the lived experiences of young people with Long Covid, like myself. I’m involved with a lot of advocacy work with Long Covid Kids (LCK), as it makes me feel less helpless in the face of such societal stigma and political disinterest. 

We are thrilled to share the incredible entries we received for the Long Covid Kids Poster Design Competition 2025 — and announce the winners! Over the summer, young people aged 5 to 21 across the globe got creative to help raise awareness of Long Covid in children and young people. Long Covid Kids (LCK) is excited to launch a Poster Design Competition this summer — it's open to anyone aged 5-21 years and we’d love you all to join in!

At Long Covid Kids, we’re driven by the voices and stories of families navigating life with Long Covid—and we’re constantly inspired by those who turn personal experience into powerful action. One such champion is Jana, who nominated us as Charity of the Year at her workplace, Gravita, after facing the realities of Long Covid in children first-hand.

Thank you to all of our Marathon runners, who ran to help raise awareness of Long Covid Kids.

We urge clinicians and researchers to amend existing protocols and design future protocols to include children in clinical trial design in order to avoid unnecessary delays and harm for children with Long Covid. We also urge a clear statement from the WHO prioritising and facilitating the regulation and funding for clinical trials inclusive of children with Long Covid.
