The frost lays us bare
to COVID. “It’s seasonal:
In winter it snares.”
When spring starts to bloom -
“Sneezes are hayfever, yes?”
“Stop the doom and gloom.”
Summer moves outside,
so why do we cough, splutter?
“A mask?” they deride.
As autumn leaves turn
colour, so still do the tests.
Winter’s early bite?
Or seasonal gift
from nature, given all year,
airborne winds adrift,
Blowing your next chance,
not to dance with Long Covid
in seasons to come.
This Long Covid Awareness day we would like you to add support to calls for Clean Air by writing to your local MP to support the Long Covid charities' January 2023 call for a Public Space Ventilation Bill - see the open letter here.
