Since the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic, 108 British children have tragically lost their lives, and between 33,000 to 42,000 children are living with Long Covid beyond 12 weeks.

This week, One article in The Times reported on the 7 paediatric deaths in Scotland.
The BBC reported on the tragic passing of Jorja Halliday on the day that she was due to get her first vaccine.
Otherwise; silence.

Paediatric death from COVID19 is thankfully rare (approx 0.01% - 0.03% American Academy of Paediatrics) but rare does not mean that it is not happening. If we have high transmission and high case numbers, we will see further deaths of children in the UK.
Similarly, we should be prepared to experience far more children suffering from Long Covid (~14% CLoCK study)

COVID-19 Bereaved Families For Justice offer advice and support to families who have lost loved ones and are campaigning for a public enquiry.
