Mother’s Day Self-Care & Rest Session

15th March 2026 - For parents and carers affected by Long Covid

Online Meetup

Service Description

This Mother’s Day, we are offering an online self-care and reflection session designed to give you space to pause, breath and reconnect with their own needs. This session is about sustainable wellbeing - not adding more to your “to do” list but exploring realistic and manageable ways to build moments of rest into daily life. Duration: 1–1.5 hours (including a gradual wind-down) What will the session include? - A guided self-care and pampering session (from the comfort of your own home). - An introduction to the 7 Types of Rest, exploring how different forms of rest (physical, emotional, sensory, creative and more) support wellbeing. - Gentle reflection prompts to help you consider what rest looks like for you. - Optional space for shared reflection and connection with other parents/carers. Optional self-care package (UK participants only) Participants who register will have the option to receive a small self-care package by post to use during the session. To receive a package, you will need to: - Register by 2pm Thursday 5th March 2026 (anyone registering after this date, or based outside the UK will be sent a list of things to bring along) - Provide consent for us to post to your home address. - Confirm any allergies or sensitivities. Further details about contents and timelines will be shared after registration. Important information - This is a wellbeing and self-care session. - It does not replace medical, psychological or crisis support. - Confidentiality and safeguarding policies apply. - Participants are encouraged to engage in a way that feels comfortable for them (camera and microphone use is optional). The session will be led by Occupational Therapy students Chloe Ball and Cristina Postolache - supervised by Health Lead Kirsty Stanley
