Chartered Educational Psychologist & Education Advisor
Dr Sue Peters is an experienced Chartered Educational Psychologist who completed her training at the University of Southampton in 2004 and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology at University College London in 2020. She has worked across several Local Authorities, most recently as an Area Senior Educational Psychologist, and founded SP Psychology in 2022 to provide independent educational psychology support.
Sue began her career as a primary school teacher and has worked in both mainstream and specialist settings for children with autism spectrum disorder. She is passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing of children, families, and educators through supervision, consultation, and training. Her professional interests include personal construct psychology, positive psychology, and finding creative ways to elicit and value children’s voices.
After her family contracted COVID-19 in 2021 and her teenage daughter developed Long Covid, Sue joined Long Covid Kids as Education Lead. She has since raised awareness among educators, developed guidance and training resources, supported families, and contributed to research and publications on the educational impact of Long Covid.
As a member of the Volunteer Advisory Panel, Sue continues to share her expertise to improve educational access and wellbeing for children living with Long Covid.
