Families of children with long Covid facing 'scary and isolating situation'
Fiona Wilson’s son Luca caught Covid-19 in March, at the age of 14. He was bright, happy, smart and funny, she said – now he was a shell of his former self.
The Ministry of Education said it did not hold any data on the number of students off school with long Covid. “We don’t currently have a clear picture on how many Kiwi children are actually suffering – there are no published studies looking into long Covid in New Zealand children,” a spokesperson said.
