Sarah qualified as a primary school teacher in 2003. After gaining experience in a number of different schools she became a police officer, working front line for 5 years until she stopped due to ill health. Sarah returned to education, where she is now teaching adults with learning disabilities.
Sarah and her 2 children caught Covid-19 in July 2021 and unfortunately her daughter now lives with Long Covid. Seeing the devastating impact that Long Covid has had on her daughter Sarah wants to encourage connections between children in the same position. Personal experience has taught her how important it is to connect with others who understand the journey and ups and downs of a long term condition.
Sarah brings her experience in education and chronic illness to the Long Covid Kids Connect Sessions, encouraging participants to join in and empathy when they find it overwhelming.
