Maarte Preller

Maarte is the Founder and CEO of Long Covid Austria, a patient advocacy and support group for Austrian Long Covid patients which has been running for over a year.

Maarte is originally from the Netherlands but has lived in Austria since 2014. She has a background in international human resources and physical therapy.

Maarte had Covid-19 at the start of the first wave, and has been sick with Long Covid since August 2020.

Her organisation is also a part of the Long Covid Europe initiative, and she has been advocating for proper recognition, care, research, and support for those with Long Covid and other post viral illnesses since the pandemic began.
